Looks like some good versus mode balance changes there. Might have a go and see if they've affected gameplay in a noticeably postive way.

gay. -Made the following client commands cheat protected: "Kill" and "explode". finally. Fixed exploit where infected players could run away and teleport back to gain health. Meh I thought that was a good thing to have in
hopefully that fixes the bug where the teams are always getting swapped over during a map change. Was lame as. Tank spawns at the same % through the map for both teams in versus mode. Good. It was so unbalanced when a tank would spawn of first tier weapons for one team and second for the others.... Auto shotty = instant death for tank.
Lame :( I thought the infected could get some good tactics going with that Really good changes mostly... few dud ones. Probably wont start playing again until some new content comes in. last edited by ctd at 14:33:00 15/Jan/09 |

- Increased Minimum damage a Hunter pounce does. Minimum? Lame. I love pouncing from high up in trees and buildings. Max damage I could get before update was 25 (not on fire). Did you even read the whole list? Just about all of the bugs/exploits that everyone complains about have been addressed. a list of bugs that should never have made it out of testing!!! if they had released a decent game they could have spent the last couple of months working on updates that actually INCREASE and expand the playability of the game. instead It feels like i've payed alot of hard earned monies for a HL2 Mod. |

Heh they fixed one camping spot... a zillion to go. They can't put a couple of crates to block every closet in the game can they?

True, it just means that infected need some sort of ability to counter camping. I think something like a low damage toxic gas, an alternate for the Boomer perhaps.
If they camp a closet or something, throw some gas in there and they'll have to get out or die. Too fkn easy. |

Yea, main thing I hated is being meleed as a hunter and then killed before I can see anything, let alone pounce again. Haven't played it through since the changes, but I think their list of fixes sounds pretty good to me. I'll give it a go in a sec

Sure, I agree that a lot of these things (particularly the matchmaking and team-swapping) should have been addressed before release, but I'm certainly happy that they've been fixed now. I don't see how that's lame. I liked being able to fly where I should not be able to... Haha, yeah, as silly as it was, I kind of liked it. It was fun just flying across the map. It did allow for a bit of cheaty-hax, but it was funny nevertheless. |

- Fixed an exploit where the Witch could be woken up and tricked into attacking Survivors.:( They said they fixed some exploits, I wonder what / if any shortcuts have been rectified. |

Midda the reason i said it was lame was because the thread got my hopes up they had released some more content, all in all I'm happy they fixed the bugs but it doesn't really spike my dwindling interest in playing. Its a great game but its starting to get that 'overplayed' feeling.
