The latest classic game to get the official freeware treatment is Remedy Entertainment's Death Rally, the much-loved 1996 top-down racing game. In 2009, Remedy is proud to announce the free re-release, Death Rally for Windows. The original game, ported to run on modern PCs.Unfortunately the port doesn't the include multiplayer connectivity as it was from back in the day of modem-to-modem and IPX. But the singleplayer component is reportedly all in-tact, and hey, it's free! Grab it right here from AusGamers Files (40MB) Remedy are currently hard at work on the long-awaited and still much anticipated Alan Wake for the Xbox 360, expected some time in 2010. |

Wow, I played this game to death as a teen if it's the one I'm thinking of. Multiplayer would be aweeeesome but I guess I'll live. Downloading now.
