Blizzard have sent through word they've teamed up with EB Games for a midnight launch of World of WarCraft: Wrath of the Lich King at the retail gaming giant's newest Sydney headquarters, located at 340 George Street, Sydney CBD Thursday, November 13.

Festivities kick off around 9.30pm with a bunch of different geektastic events, including:You'll also be able to win prizes and other crazy WoW related junk for giving up a precious evening, but clearly the big event of the night will be the launch of the game where 100 lucky buyers could also score themselves a very limited (1 of 100) WarCraft figurine, and five other winners will see their purchase upgraded to the Collector's Edition.

If you live interstate, Melbourne's Swanston Street EB and Brisbane's Albert Street stores will be holding similar events, but make sure you get in touch with them for finer details.

Stupid f***ing expansion, I'm playing wow again! Levelling is always better than the end game IMO, more content to pew pew at for a while I guess.

If I'm up I guess I'll toddle down and get my copy tonight.

AHHH Yes.. have rung the local store here in Townsville and will be down there at midnight to pick up the pre-ordered copies for hubby and son. This ensures I get a further year or so of thinking I live alone and get to watch whatever I want on TV anytime :)

Housemate got this earlier today. He's playing it now.

Good thing is that he doesn't have raid nights anymore, so I don't have to wait until he's free before we can watch all of our TV shows.

No cosplay at all :( All I saw was one person who had a pink wig and some elf ears on and that was it! But, there was s***loads of free pizza and free V so it was still pretty good.

Been playing it most of today and god damn this rocks extremely hard. Really impressed with the artwork and level design. I think I must have spent over an hour riding from The Borean Tundra across to Howling Fjord. Passing thru Grizzly Hills reminded me of the movie Ravenous with that weird violin music playing. Got lost in Warsong Hold trying to find my way around.

I think the ques on Eldre Thalas were reaching the 2 hour mark at one stage which is silly so I think I'll wait till a bit later tonight when most of the yanks are asleep.

What did Blackrock do :( Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't ALL WoW servers have queues currently?
