Hot on the heels of 1.01 and 1.02 ... 1.03 has already been promised.
Here are just a few of the fixes you can expect to see in the 1.03 patch:

- Server and Client performance improvements.
- Improved Server Browser – added Favorites and History Lists.
- Point-farming prevention - stops Support/Medic/Engineer point farming exploits.
- Squads - locked squad leader will get a message if someone wants to join.
- Many HUD improvements - see the names of others in your vehicle, zoom level changing depending on vehicle, map zoom depending on map setup (16, 32 or 64 player map) etc.
- Teamkilling changes – the logic of how teamkills are tracked will be changed.
- Gameplay tweaks - the way transport helicopters work will be tweaked.
- Additional scoring changes - players who destroy an enemy commander's assets will be given points.
- There are over 140 fixes and improvements in the 1.03 patch and we're looking forward to everyone moving to 1.03 to get the best Battlefield 2 experience on a level, cheat-free playing field.
Apparently due out towards the end of August. You can read more about it here.

At last, a server favourites list ! And team kill logic changes ... maybe now idiots won't drive over mines as frequently and when they do we won't get punished.promoted forum item

Auto swaps should onlyhappen at the start or end of a round. With mid round balancing onlybeing on people as they join the server.

WHen will they fix the water bug where it is impossible to climb out of water without going slow. cant he put the gun down for a sec and climb out, its as bad as getting out of the boats in 1942 and the dude just runs on the spot for a few seconds.

I think it has to do with the idea of keeping the gun OUT of the water, above your head, hence the slow moving. I also assume they didn't bother to model the character holding the gun in that position either.

yeah autoswap is gay. you get everyone into your squad then someone gets bumped out. vehicle members identity is good thing. and also team kills when i shoot down a chopper and it lands on one of my team mates, wtf?

I'm always on the gamearena servers.... name LightAssassin.

I reckon I'm fairly decent, and I love the teamplay stuff... I also kind of roleplay (run upto walls, call clear, watch as mates run across providing cover etc...).

1.03 will be good if it does deliever.... if not =(

I bought 2 copies of the game and 2 headsets for my brother and I (to celebrate my new found dsl). So they better get their act together, or back they go for store credit ^_^

Just rang the Australian # given on the website. Apparently they are a wholesaler so they won't sell to the public direct. They sell mostly through Harvey Norman (so expect insanely overpriced stuff). They did however give me a contact # for another reseller called Gamesman, whose # is 02 9580 9888

EDIT: Gamesman sell for $199 + $10 local delivery
$220 in total for delivery to Brisbane

Just bought one =)

So many freakin buttons to configure!!

http://www.users.on.net/~thevault/HERMITech/Thread/Joystick.jpg

One of the controllers has a mouse stick controller, which is weird to use left handed but seeing as I'm fairly dextrous with my left hand I could use it ingame for the radio menu navigation

^^ Tried to make sense of the Profile features?

Of all of its features, the options I'd like, is to create in the profiler profiler stuff for using mouselook and setting this to a pov hat. Would be infintely helpful during air to air encounters
