The ES World Cup has announced the 12 remaining participates from the candidate list for their Quake 3 "Hall of Fame" tournament.
On a special note our own Aussie Andrew "Python" Cha Cha has made the list to compete in this highly skilled competition with what could be said as the best of the best quake3 players competiting from around the world.

Unlike the 8 originally invited players, the invited players will have to pay for their travel to the event. One can only hope Python can find a way of getting there to represent Australia. The list of invited players can be found here.

The Electronic Sports World Cup is an international video games competition produced by Ligarena, which will take place July 8-13, 2003, at the Futuroscope in Poitiers, France. Three official competitions in Counter-Strike, Warcraft III and Unreal Tournament 2003 will gather 400 players qualified all around the world in various preliminary tournaments to dispute the 150,000 euros of cash prizes.

Paypal yes and paypal no.

Yes because I'd donate.

No because lots of people are under 18.

What about a hat-passing at QGL?
