It looks great except for the main villian being a female. Sucks to that! women invoke thoughts of cooking and bitchiness, not of evil, strength and ruthlessness.

I don't know about that, having been on the wrong end of numerous hormone charge rages that would cause even the most testerone filled males to cower in the corner praying for an end to the torment or a quick death, female villans scare the s*** out of me.

The problem is a cybernetic female doesn't have any of the hormonal motivations that make women scary. Females are creatures motivated by their instincts not their mind, and thus can't be any more evil than bacteria.

That preview looks pretty f***ing good. At least it won't have Edward Furlong screaming like a pansy the way he did all through T2.

/me runs into bomb shelter.

From the trailer it looks to have none of the menacing, edge of the seat intenseness that the previous terminator movies did. In the first terminator you had this unstoppable killing machine, from a future where mankind is almost an extinct species, and it was pretty damn badass. I still remember the first time I saw the "real" face of the terminator as it came out of the firey truck wreck, the whole imagery of the walking metal skeleton with a perpetual death-grin on its face, it sends shivers down your spine.

Then in t2 you have the T-1000, an even more terrifying upgrade to the original, so unstoppable you can't help but feel like the heroes of the movie are playing a losing battle that they cannot possibly win and that the future they so dread may look to be inevitable.

Now, you have T3, a tacky B-Grade looking arnie action movie, which while by itself may still be entertaining, but as the third part in this series, is just plain insulting. I dont care if the new Terminator was a woman, but at least make it imposing, give it some of that terrifying edge that the previous ones had, dont make it some attractive bimbo with titties straining to get out of some skin-tight leather outfit and tacky b-grade "guns that pop out of her arms" type s***. Thats not Terminator, thats just pathetic. If this was just another arnie action movie, I doubt I'd have a problem with it, but you can't go f***ing around with a series like The Terminator and then put out a piece of s***e like this.

As for all those "its only a preview, wait for the full thing" people, I can't see how the movie is really going to be much different from the vibe they put accross in the preview. Considering half the time previews for movies are better than the movies themselves, that really doesn't leave much hope at all for this one...

meh, I'll decide whether it's good or not when I see it, or after rather. Pre-analysing stuff usually gets u into trouble, so after seeing Bond, I'm unsure where my logic lies anymore..

They should have made the terminator come back as sarah conner. I mean, Sarah could kick anyones ass even when she wasnt a robot. Tho I will probably enjoy it for the action scenes. Plus it still has arnie in it so its all good.

Linda Hamilton refused to do it because James Cameron wasn't directing.
I hate movies with chicks that fight. They try to be hardcore, but no-one will ever be as menacing as the original two terminator baddies. Arnie was huge, silent and daunting. Robert Patrick's T1000, although not huge like Arnie, displayed it's superiority to Arnie's T101 in the first major action sequences of the film. Plus it could change into anyone and was completely emotionless.
I fail to see how a woman could have the same effect, especially a good looking woman.

Total Recall was an uber flick...not only that but it's based on a f***ing great book written by one of my fave authors Piers Anthony...you really must read this book if you were a fan of the movie, it so fills in all the gaps about the alien culture...not only that the ending in the book pisses all over the movie one...go read it now!!!
