If you've been living under a rock and haven't heard, WCG2002 has begun over in Korea, and the aussies are putting on quite a show. Firstly Python has won his first match against AllPact from the Netherlands in the Quake3 Tournament 6-3. Secondly Australia's showing in the CS, team iCHOR, have currently gone through their group undefeated.

So far so good for the Aussies! AusPantheon have a full coverage of all the happenings over at WCG from an Australian point of view, including an exclusive iCHOR diary, a photo gallery of the guys, as well as all the goss on the matches, and a full HLTV server listing. Check out the AusPantheon WCG coverage right here.

Pity there are no comments about the game performances from the other Aussies in the WCG. There are people in every event.

If the WCG was converted to the Olympics Quake and Counterstrike are like Track and Swimming, while Fifa and Age of Empires are Badminton and Ping Pong...

They segregate the different gamers skrybe; if quake players get exposed to cs the demos of the duels get reduced to people crouching and hiding for 90% of the game.

Actually, that's kinda what it's like playing Q3 in oz anyway.

No I meant there are no comments in this forum about the guys from Oz in the UT competition (finished third I think) or the guys in the Age of Empires and Starcraft comps. Or even the guys in the FIFA comp.

It's like they're the "joke" events so no one talks about them. I really hope one of these guys gets through and does well.

I could be wrong but hasn't that UT guy (Skar) been the top UT player in Oz like every year running?

heres the latest post on the site:

Three cheers for Legionnaire!!!

Latest update at the end of day 1 for the Australians brings Legionnaire to the top of his bracket with three wins and no losses. This is fantastic news for him, having beaten PHI008_ph, YoZ__lu and imRadu_ro.

RazoR and Starhunter have both won one and lost two of their games but this still means they have a chance of getting through if they beat the rest of their opponents.

Updates during the day have been slow and hard to get with the website being inundated with over 5,000 users at any given time.. If you wish to view it have patience and get comfy :p
