We've got a copy of the local GameCube release schedule (thanks trent) which has the release date of every game that is coming out on the GameCube from now up until Christmas, and beyond. Some of the big name titles on the way are:
  • Sega Soccer Slam (Tomorrow)
  • Eternal Darkness (07/11/02)
  • Star Wars: Clone Wars (08/11/02)
  • Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 (22/11/02)
  • Star Fox Adventures (30/11/02)
  • Mario Party 4 (10/12/02)
The chart there also lists the US release dates, to help us PAL region people curse the TBA date next to Animal Crossing.

No sign of Metroid or Robotech in there :(
Maybe we'll see them in December.

Lol wrong link there mate. I am disappointed by the lack of Metroid this year, if the rumour of it being released in March is true I will be pissed.

I can't believe how many Mario Party games they've churned out, I think only the tony hawk series and tomb raider have had as many sequels as quickly.

The Nintendo rep did come into work and told us that Metroid and Star Fox are both going to be released before the end of the year. We were never given a release date but he did say "definate" but even so it is Nintendo.............

As for Robotech its about a week or 2 away from the PS2/Xbox versions.

I'll have to double check on Eternal Darkness it was meant to be for the 31st of this month unless once again a Nintendo machine title has been pushed back *sarcsam* OMG *sarcasm*

Eternal Darkness was supposedly delayed because the OFLC accidentally gave it a M-15+ rating instead of a MA-15+ rating.

Eternal Darkness is good fun. The combat isn't very satisfying but the game in general is pretty good.

Probably because we've played games like Quake, making game like Goldeneye insignificant.

I'm a big fan of Goldeneye, however it was because of its great single player game not because of multiplayer which was crap but got more recognition.

I couldn't care less about TS2 as it's focused on multiplayer which there are far better choices for PC.

goldeneye s***s all over all current 1st person shooters on PC in ALL departments bar gfx and easily accesible multiplayer. dam PC weiners.

lol pc is over if u have sweated them for over 2 years strait, timesplitters 2 will be a good change.

I'm not going to turn this into a big arguement like so many other of these Gamecube threads seem to.

I'll just say that I'm anything but a noob, been playing games for the last 15 years on all platforms. I'm also not a hardcore PC fps, I haven't seriously played any of them since Quake 2.

So I'll just leave it at that, and say that I think Goldeneye's multiplayer was highly overrated but if you enjoyed it good for you.

goddamn you're not only misguided but arrogant as hell. Accept the fact that others may have a different opinion then yours.

havent actually looked at timesplitters 2 as im still wary of it after playing the original game and not liking it at all. Consoles are great for most game types but imo they just dont cut it at fps. s***ty framerates, bad control methods and no online capabilities at this stage mean the pc is much better suited at this style of game. I think for now ill stick to platformers, fighting and racing on console.

Timesplitters 2 looks interesting, and its got an actual single player campaign, unlike the original Timesplitters where single player was just multiplayer with bots (even though you could do it co-op, so that was fun).

Still, in the end though, its an fps on a console, and I really dont think I'd spend money on an fps on a console. No-one lives forever 2 just came out on PC, I'd rather pick up a copy of that than Timesplitters 2.

GE was the only good FPS on a console - ever.

FPS should mainly be left to the computer.
