You should start seeing UT2003 out in the shops either today or tomorrow, Ross, who works for Harvey Norman contacted us to say they wont be selling it until tomorrow, but some people are reporting it available in some locations.

We received our copies from Infograms yesterday, and I spent a fair amount of time checking it out. I have to say, I'm a fan. Whilst the gameplay isn’t anything new, for seasoned FPS gamers it does seem to hit the spot, physics are good, the duel maps look like a lot of fun though some might be a bit too small, but most of all, it looks totally awesome and plays fast.

I thought player speed had been bumped up a notch since the beta, you can actually see and strafe around rockets now, which lends to some really cool fun rocket battles requiring decent prediction skills on you're part. Some of the levels look totally awesome, with some nice Gothic style levels, and some more UT style sci fi looks. Duel servers are going to be popular with the old school quake players, though UT players will get totally skooled at this game type. BR looks like its defiantly going to hit the spot in team games, despite it being basically one flag ctf, its done well. Look out for it in the stores today!

This game absolutely rocks. It's fast and the graphics are amazing. I haven't seen all the levels yet but from what I've played I'm very impressed with this. Can't what till tomorrow so we can LAN this. Woohoo!

I'm running an Athlon 1800 and a GF4 4200 with highest detail settings and it runs fast-as with no slow down. Kicks Q3's ass all over the place.

Haven't tried ut2k3 yet, but in Q3 I still get about 70fps with 4x FSAA and 8x anistropic on. Carmack is my god.

Great game !!
Great Engine!!

...but I wont be buying it!

I'll wait till some good mods come out on it. DM and CTF are just too frickin boring! Damn shame they couldn't have added some new gameplay to UT2003.

DooF!

now all we need is someone to make a HALO mod for it.

make a warthog jeep and recreate Blood Gulch and HALO for PC will be redundant!

did everyone get a manual with their retail version?

Seems mine isnt in the box and I can't find a CD key anywhere as its supposed to be on the manual.

Rang Games Market and they are going to email me a Key from another game tonite, and return that one to publisher.

s*** of all the boxes that would have shipped, I get the ONE without a manual?

grrrrrr

4x AA and 16x Aniso runs fine on mine at 1600x1200 :) :) :)

Anyone know how to show the actual ingame framerate? I'd imagine there is a console command that will do that...

skrybe, i think the 9700 chucks a fit with those settings ... quite unplayable, thenagain maybe its my p4 .. might have to go back to AMD or just get a faster cpu becuase an average fps of 40 isnt fun

When was this game released in US because the warez has been all over the shop for a month or more, I don't think I'd pay for it but, I might go and pay for the original Game of the Year version of UT thats prolly only like 10 bucks.
