For those of you that have optus connections and play on optus, a couple of the guys that play there have got together and created a site to give you the lowdown on whats happening in the world of the optus servers, right here on AusGamers. Called The Optus Gamers Resource it has info on all mods being played there, head on over and check it out. |

ummmmm optus has jack s*** 4 games. Absolutly nothing. IPRIMUS has more! iprimus! (ipgn) they only have s***ty slow adsl. & they dont sell alot. Eisa USED TIO have a good gaming network back a few years. then iprimus has a good service. i think it was cause the guy/chic from eisa went to iprimus. But optus needs to learn that if they want to stop losing money promote there service as a GAMING SERVICE. NOT as a downloading service. Telstra is GREAT 4 games. they dont get chared on ur limit. they have tons & tons of sevrer there servers are fast. its all good! so telstra people dont download as much. cause there too busy having fun. With optus they have always promoted it as a downloading service. They need to get the same person who did eisa/iprimus & get a good gaming service going. If they promote as gaming (& its good) then people are gonna play games on there local area network not download. (as much). + QGL was great! :)) but 1 thing u guys shoul have! SCORHED EARTH on the projector. (the old ass dos game with the little tanks) with just baby missiles. I was playing it @ qgl! ROCKED! u just say like angle 60 power 500 BOOM! + was the funniest game ever! U NEED A SCORHED EARTH COMPITION! :P |

try paragpahs some time buddy :P strex, I couldnt get to www cause the ip wouldnt resolve behind the gateway so i figured it didnt exist. the public webpage optushome.com.au tells you absolutely jack and even said something like "see the bottom of the page for a list of servers" and there was nothing there. |

u havent setup the dns suffix then. dns suffix is your local area. eg my dns suffix is kelvn1.qld.optushome.com.au so when i goto www it translates into www.kelvn1.qld.optushome.com.au |

optus sux for leeching, whenever you are leeching there is the subconscious thought of "f***, better not leech too much, ill get disconnected", which f***ing sux, but is still better than 3gb a month, hahaha @ tosstra |

StreX said: "There is all the information you could ever need about gaming and their servers. Optus has all bases covered, they f***ing own plain and simple." Mate you gotta be kidding! The downloads have no versions listed and are all out of date. I remember downloading a Q3 point release from the official Optus site and they still had the 1.17 as current! Go look at the hl and UT sections and it's the same thing......super out of date downloads. Compare that to the ogr downloads area :) I wont even mention the differences in the two forums and until just a few months ago the official site didnt even have the server listings proper. optus cable ownz i know but the offical games site is a total joke and it isnt even available to non optus ppl. it's no wonder a group of them decided to do it themselves |
