. If you enjoy Diablo2 and have some cash to burn that you arent attached to then get it. It felt to me like the Blizzard guys just tossed in a bunch of big bonus rewards in to the act that werent really deserved or as difficult to gain as say the imbue quest in Act1. How do I know I didnt totally love it? I'm sitting here writing about it this morning instead of playing it.

from what everyone else has told me about it, its soo true.

I thought it might be a good refresher for the game, but it really sounds like too little too late, why the f*** does it take blizzard so long to make crap like this, is there like 2 people on thier design team?

Probably cos all the blizzard guys are no concentrating on warcraft 3 and whatever other game they're making that isn't announced yet (theres always two on the go, so you know theres gotta be one).

I get the impression that LOD was just a little "heres something to tide you over" type offering. Still, I'll probably enjoy it, being the diablo 2 fan I am. Bring on the clicking!!

Actually, D/D2 was done at Blizzard North (which was a separate company before Blizzard merged with them). BN is also where they do the rendered stuff as well.

So while Blizzard are probably busy doing WC3, Blizzard North were probably just doing D2X until they had their technology base up for their next project.

Either way, Diablo sucks ass ;p

If they release it in a like battle chest package like warcraft and starcraft i am down wif that otherwise CS and Quake3 will keep me happy (And stop RSI from setting in again)

Well they make games for the mass market... which is not QGL type people...

QGL is in the hardcore section.. and they are in the extreme minority... Its unfortunate to think that the game companies dont give a s*** what we think... :(

Im playing the xp atm and its pretty good. But i'll probbaly get sick of it much quicker than I did of classic d2.
I dont see why so many ppl say it sucks just because you click too much.

Some of the features in the expansion look pretty cool. Like the runes and stuff - it's what the socketed items should have been to start with. And the alternate weapons setups seem pretty cool too.

I think it's almost like the next bugfix for Diablo, but they threw in extra levels, monsters etc too as a bonus.

Besides, they've gotta release these addon packs because they haven't given us the chance of making our own levels.

I've played it and the 'extra features' like runes, charms, being able to equip your npc etc all just seem like s*** that should have been in the original game :P

The 5th act really wasnt exciting and I couldnt be stuffed starting a new character.

Well there's the reason you didn't like it as much as most of the Exp players.. you couldn't be stuffed trying the new classes..

and from the sounds of it, you haven't given any of the more complex new features a go..

ie. Crafted items, Runeworded items etc..

and as for leagues.. sif you could compare this genre to fps or rts games you dick.. that was a stupid thing to say

I believe in warez as shareware. If you can't get something legitimately then why not? - as long as you pay for it once you can get it legitimately.
