Hugh Jackman has reflected on some of his fans since his role as Wolverine in X-Men. "Pressing in my face was an enormous Wolverine tattoo on his enormous biceps,'' Jackman said. ``I did not hang out to purchase my groceries and I just ran for the exit." Read the full thing here. Dennis Hopper is "attached to direct and star in The Night Job" - an independantly financed crime drama about "an ex-con drawn back to the underworld by a crooked cop trying to nail a flamboyant mobster's global art smuggling ring". Hopper is to play the policeman, while it's reported Val Kilmer is in early negotiations to play the mobster. There's an article up over at IGN saying how the HG2G film may be on hold indefinitely since Douglas Adams has passed away. Click here to read the report. The Sunday Express reports that there's a fight going on over the future of the Bond franchise. On the one hand MGM wants to make Bond more urban and hire Brett Ratner ("Rush Hour") to direct, whilst Producer Barbara Broccolli and Pierce Brosnan want to stick to Director Michael Apted ("The World is Not Enough"). One insider says "MGM is convinced it can make more money out of Bond by diluting his Britishness and making the films more American in style. The decision will have huge consequences for the future". Novelist Clive Cussler's fiction hero Dirk Pitt is about to transfer from the page to the big screen. Sahara is due to start in the autumn, with an £80 million budget. Cussler wants Hugh Jackman to play the central figure in the movie, which he hopes will be the start of a series of Dirk Pitt films. He also sees Salma Hayek as the perfect lady to accompany Pitt on his missions. According to reports, there is to be a Stargate II. Apparently MGM want to turn it into a franchise of movies like Bond and Star Trek. Read More. Jackie Chan is set to star in two big-budget projects in Hong Kong. The first will be Operation Condor 3, which is to be filmed in India next year. The second, and biggest movie of the two is Sun Tzu's Art of War, which is expected to be the most expensive Hong Kong movie ever made with between 1 million to 2 million extras for the war scenes. "We want to do it without the help of computer effects," Chan said. Full Story. There's some new LOTR pictures up. Click, Click, Click, Click. (Note: they took a while to load for me, so keep retrying if you're desperate). There's a few pictures up from Arnold Schwarzenegger's thriller Collateral Damage up at the Arnold Fan Site. Sweet, a Dirk Pitt movie! Hopefully it will be better than Raise the Titanic. Hugh Jackman would be a pretty rad Pitt, but I don't think he has green eyes. Dirk has to have green eyes, cuz otherwise there'd be no green eyes for all the girls to gaze into wonderously when they meet him for the first time. |

yeah, from what I can gather, its not a movie but a new tv series, with Barry Sonnefeld (the guy behind MIB) directing it. |
