There's an updated version of DirectX: 8.0a.

DirectX 8.0a contains updates for issues with international installs on Windows 2000 and issues where input devices could have buttons disabled that were enabled with previous DirectX releases. There are no other changes.

Like all DX updates, its probably worth having, because eventually you'll have to install it anyway. Grab a local copy from AusGamers Files - luckily now there's just one install file for all Windows versions.
