Gamers.com have a news item that states that according to some magically anonymous person, the XBox will ship with the Dreamcast chipset, allowing it to play DC games. Apparently the official annoucement will come at the Tokyo Game Show. So far, "Microsoft and Sega have both denied these reports."

I imagine Dreamcast lovers would see this as a bit of a boon, with the recent news that Sega are stopping production of the Dreamcast and shipping the focus to game development.

All we need is for xbox to be ps2 compatible and OH BABY!

Dunno about ps2 compatible, but seeing as how in that article they say that the only big developers that haven't come onboard are Square and Sega, I suppose that means Sony has already said they will develop for it. So even though it may not be directly PS2 compatible, I'd say we'll see a lot of the Sony stuff converted to it anyway.
