Sun Microsystems have claimed an emphatic victory as Microsoft settled out of court today regarding the JAVA non-compliancy lawsuit. Although the $20 million is a mere slap on the wrist for Bill, the settlement also bars Microsoft from using "Java Compatible" on its products. This would indicate that Microsoft has put faith in their .NET architecture to attack Java from a different direction.
