Guy Ritchie, the man behind Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, has decided to prove to the world he can make films which aren't about gangsters and lads. He feels it's time for movie makers to stop making 'lad' films - and he's going to be the first to make a change. Ritchie, who married pop babe Madonna last month, has decided his next film will be a religious period piece - set in the Ottoman empire. He adds, "It will be about Christianity and Islam and the trajectory and consequences of religious donna. It will have plenty of guns - they've just been invented, but I promise you it won't be a lad film set in the 16th century. It's time to do something different." Bit of a change from gangsters :)

After such flops as Waterworld and The Postman, Kevin Costner is on a come back. He has been bolstered by the warm critical reception his latest film Thirteen Days has received. Costner won an Oscar for Dances with Wolves in 1990, and went on a gradual downslide from there.

There's been a few pics from the set of the upcoming movie Spiderman released on the net. You can check them out here.

Columbia Pictures has stepped in and picked up the film rights to Spawn 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Todd McFarlane, the creator of the Spawn comics and the movies, is calling the sequel "an R-rated type of thriller." When asked about other characters, he said: "I have two detectives named Sam and Twitch... they'd hold up well. I've got another character called Cy-Gor, which is an augmented gorilla."

I dunno about you, but I know myself and alot of other gamers loved Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and would be interested in finding out what the creator is up to. It doesn't have to be news specifically about games, it can be any type of news that gamers are interested in. Just because you aren't interested in it, doesn't mean others aren't.
