Daily Radar have announced that they are currently being sued by Nintendo (well, the parent company, Imagine Media is the one actually being sued). Apparently, it was due to showing some Pokemon images or something as threatening to Nintendo's livelihood as that. Because, you know, displaying things like that are likely to make people buy less Pokemon, if that's physically possible. Will be interesting to see what happens over the coming months - will Nintendo be able to keep pace with the new console technology? Personally, I hope not - I don't want to see any more Mario games :)

Update: Someone that actually knows the full story commented with the following:

They were selling an "unoffical" guide which they were making money off.....They didn't get permission to use the name and images of Nintendos products (pokemon) for the guide. Typically you have to pay royalties for such a "privilge"

They AREN'T getting sued for using images in game reviews or suchlike. Daily Radar makes it sounds like they did nothing wrong.

Nintendos new console will beat the Xbox and PS2, hands down.

Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race Cube, Perfect Dark 2 and Metroid Cube look bloody awesome, and with the people behind them (Miyamoto, RR64 Team, Rare, and Retro (with the added power of Zoid!)) aren't going to let us down with carbon copies of other games *cough*namco*cough*. Add to that the original 'Cube titles out by same people, and the GameCube is going to own!

I don't know anything about the GameCube, I'm just sick of mario :P (and hello kitty) The only N64 game I've played was Gauntlet Legends, and it rocks :)

btw nintendo makes much more profit than anyone through the amount of software they sell


they made about 900million in software sales last year

where as sony only made a measly 200million,

Doofis, I was simply stating that Sega would kick arse in the software dept if they wrote thier games for Sony and Nintendo too. Everyone loves their arcade games an no-one can deny that Sega has made some of the best games of all time.

the main reason ps is popular is because you could easily burn the games. everybody i know with a ps has a chip, and has numerous "burned" games. and with the new dc and ps2, it will be similar.
