Topic: New Monitor?

I was thinking of getting a new monitor, because mine has this stupid green tinge to it, as some of you may have seen at QGL :D.

I was looking for a 19" for no more then about $500. These are the two that I am thinking about at the moment.

Hitachi CM715
Samsung 955DF

Any comments or suggestions would be muchly appriciated :)

I know for one thing that the Samsung is the choice out of those two. it's got a very nice picture. can you get it under $500 though ?!?

Mattac, Umart have the Samsung 957 for $412.

INCREDIBLE DEAL ON NEW 19

The NEW Samsung 957P Professional monitor is a steal at $412 (about $200 less than RRP). It is not a flat screen but the quality is superb. Max res : 1920 x 1440 recomended : 1280 x 1024 @ 85Hz. Full 3 yr onsite limitted warranty.

Hee, happy? :)

Im using a magview 19incher at the moment. Cost about 350, not a bad monitor, but it is generic, and if it ever does break, dont expect to get it fixed in a very short amount of time unless you are willing to fork out some cash =P

Its a reliable, good quality monitor though, 1600x1200 60hz, i can handle 60hz tho, if your willing to run it at a lower res (1280x1024) you could run it at 85 hz, which is good for yer eyes =P

EDIT: Although, as soon as i forked over the cash for this monitor, the prices dropped on everything... grrr... Same thing happened when I got a new printer =P

I have a Hitachi 615 here, if the 19" equivalent is just as good and bigger, it'd be a great buy...

Hmm now I would have to say it's between the two Hitachis, the CM715 and the CM721
