I dont care if this is old news or whatever but I thought some people might want to have a look at the next C&C rts game coming out.. Command & Conquer : generals. The game looks awesome.. too good to pass on..

There are two 100 MB + movies of it in action. Its awesome.

maybe Westwood will redeem themselves for C&C2 and Red Alert 2... It'll take some doing though :)

I thought Red Alert 2 was alright but C&C Generals looks better than the other by a long way..

Red Alert 2 was good fun. I think you're referring to Tiberium Sun, which sucked.

The engine looks very similar to war3..do you think it is?

Westwood has already redeemed themselves in my eyes, I've been playing in the Earth and Beyond beta for the past few weeks and it fully rocks me :)

Also, this game looks pretty good too though.

Possibly a 4d model, however, i'd be tempted to say a really talented artist :)

you obviously havent seen any toon/whatever rendered models before have you.. u sometimes cant tell the difference if it is a drawing or not if it has been done well enough. Especially with westwoods budget, they could make a model of Hemerage taking it in the rear and make it look like a drawing with no major hassle.

the characters dont look of the same quality .... (the first time i saw it i thought 3d car .. hand drawn/2d characters)

Yeah, except in that batch of screenshots, all the hand drawn sketches are on white backgrounds, and all the 3d models are on black backgrounds. As well as the fact that there's the artist's mark/signature in the bottom left corner, and the bullets for the machine gun aren't all the same size.

I think its just well drawn 2d. The only thing that gives the impression that its 3d is the shadows and lighting, but its still just drawn I reckon.

Cell-shaded models look like cartoons, but they dont look THAT like cartoons.

Not saying in regards of the above picture, but I've seen some corkers of images that look like they were drawn. You would have never have guessed they wre 3d.

Tons of cartoon now use 3d, and you wouldn't know. Sure alot are obvious, but hey point stands.

That car looks like it belongs in Fallout.

One of the other things that makes me think it's hand drawn is the outline. Look at the roof, and you'll see the outline varies in width. Usually when toon shading is used, the outline is the same width on the whole model (or at least a certain section of it).
