This is help I would almost get anywhere, but I chose to ask here, as all the other forums the most I would get is a grunt or a snort!

I am on and off the computer so I don't know whats happening tech wise: new computer under $2000.

I don't really want to have to put it together myself.. What out there right now, gaming machine / speedie sorta thing?

Define game-capable :) What games do you like? If you want something that'll play newest games acceptably, re-think that $2000 budget.

Heres Computer Alliance's pre-built systems page. They sell a "gaming" system for $2099, but it has a POS GF2 MX-400.

I am running a tbird 800 with 256 and a tnt2 pro, a little outdated.

Need an upgrade, just can't choose between a XP1800 or a P4 whatever!

Buy an XP, they are cheap and run everything well, the money you save on the cpu, get a GF4 ti :)
