hrm. well, firsty i cant get tcp working inside the game, put in the ip and press enter and the game still doesnt show.

i use gamespy and when it goes to launch the game it gets to a grey screen and just locks my machine, looks like the only thing that will work is lan.

Yeah, I posted a fix for that a couple of weeks ago....

There seems to be a problem actually loading, and playing this game if you are behind a proxy, or NATs server. However I have found the answer. (Found on the Fallout Tactics Message board (I will save you the trouble of dealing with Interplays message board as it is slow and painfull)).

Free up these ports.

TCP: 29901
TCP: 29900
TCP: 28900
UDP: 27900
UDP: 13139
TCP: 6500
TCP: 2300-2400
UDP: 2300-2400

Further down that same article.

Two filtering options with W2K Pro. IPSec and TCP/IP filtering. Don't install IPSec, probably won't work with FOT. Use TCP/IP filtering with ICS. Article in TechNet outlines procedures for opening ports with TCP/IP filtering. Use the properties and settings for ICS. Make changes for both TCP/UDP.

Shad and I had a real pain the bottom time to actually make this work, however once we found the information above it worked like a dream (by the way Shad is a dirty, dirty man).

Xyzzy had to bind all the ports to go directly to his box. He couldnt find a very easy way around it but then he never claimed to be a linux guru either.

You could go to the interplay site and look at the message board and find some help there.
