Anyone else seen this film. From what I've seen so far it's bloody awesome. Also gotta say Michelle Pfeiffer is an absolute honey.
Sam Dawson has the mental capacity of a 7-year-old. He works at a Starbucks and is obsessed with the Beatles. He has a daughter with a homeless woman; she abandons them as soon as they leave the hospital. He names his daughter Lucy Diamond (after the Beatles song), and raises her. But as she reaches age 7 herself, Sam's limitations start to become a problem at school; she's intentionally holding back to avoid looking smarter than him. The authorities take her away, and Sam shames high-priced lawyer Rita Harrison into taking his case pro bono. In the process, he teaches her a great deal about love, and whether it's really all you need. |

Hmmm. Ok, so wtf just happened to my post. Missed out putting in a set of commas and now it wont let me edit. Moving right along...
I ripped that review straight from Internet Movie Database because I would've ruined it if I tried it myself. So yeah, if you get a chance check it out. |

The movie rocks. Sean Penn puts in an absolute f***ing awesome performance, which I guess is why he was nominated for a Best Actor award for it. Sif he isn't better in this than Denzel Washington was in Training Day.
And yes, it is a pretty sad story/movie, but it rocks. |

if you didn't think the oscars were a sham, you will once you've seen this film. Sean is amazing.
If you go to see this film because everyone is raving about it, you will be disapointed. It's a lame story about a guy that's retarded and got a kid. |

Hey Necra. What cinema do you go to that seems to be sold out all the time? Last time I remember not being able to get tickets was when ET was first released.
