How come the stupid auto feeder never works on my canon printers? Either all the papers go into the printer jamming it up, or none of them go in, and printer bitches that there is no paper.

For as long as I've been using printers, I've had to feed the papers in one at a time... is there any way around this?

mines works perfectly .. and im sure 90% of ppl here with canon will say the same

maybe ur using s***ty paper
fan it when u open a new ream to break the pages apart

And have you tried cleaning the rollers?

I have one that is 6 years old, another that is 6 weeks old. They both behave the same way.

Just sucked about 40 pages into itself and made funny noises, and windows XP started to have a fit that the printer was f***ed.
I fixed it though.

I have a cannon printer and I stick like 50 pages in at a time and it works very well... It is about 4 years old too. Sometimes the paper sticks together straight out of the ream, just flap it around a bit before sticking it in the printer.

Try flicking the pages if ya know what I mean before you put them in, so they don't stick together
