I have downloaded Day of Defeat Beta 1 from Fileplanet twice (count em) and from some other server, and every time i hva etried to install, this happens.

download, crack, and use getright for the file and get it from halflife.net

getright will check the file CRC and make sure it's been downloaded correctly

other thing i can suggest is, free space?

Im using flashget to download it. Id think it'd have similar features to getright.

And surely a mod wouldnt take up 497mb.

you dont think it'd be stupid enough to load into my temp file do you think? cos my C: only has 64MB free.

set your temp directory elsewhere

set temp=d:\temp

I had a problem d/l'in it from TPG, so i d/l'd it from QGL. no problem from QGL one. the TPG stops at sniper_vga_german for the GAY vgui s***.

Maxe, don't use Flashget, it too screwed up my copy of DoD (which btw I downloaded on DU at 2.5 kb/sec.. grr).
I tried to recover the files but too many were missing so I just downloaded it again using Getright which has never screwed any files up before. Note to self: _NEVER_ use flashget EVER again :).

My suggestion is as above - download it again using Getright instead of stupid Flashget.

I realy like DOD once they sort out a few of the bugs and add a few more class's it's going to be one hell of a game.
