hey all, did you no that if u have telstra cable and telstra phone line (ie local calls through telstra) you can get a 5% discount on your local calls.

It is not an automatic discount you catually have to phone them up with your cable account number and user name.

Though you would like to no that coz they screw us around with cable so y not get money back in other places.

I thought so.

But if u use AAPT for local calls they only cost 15c anyway so sif Telstra's discount means much.

You also get 5% off you cable bill

well we now get 15 c calls instead of 16.5 c calls and also what anarot said 5% of of cable bill which in better than a kick up the butt.

what about cable and mobile phone? my parents switched the house phones to primus cause its cheaper to make calls back to wogland with them

ya i believe that you can get discount for haveing telstra mobiles as well, we don't we have 5 optus mobiles :( but we get lots of free calls

Yeah it just has to be two telstra services together and you get a 5% discount on both services per month. If you have all three you get a 10% on all three.

on Optus@Home u can get free phone line rental for optus local and a % off optus televison

Yeah I have that Optus@Home second phone line for free thingy. I have a phone line that rings only in my room and I only pay for the calls (18c each), and if I dont use it at all it is free. Perfect if u need someone to ring late at night when the folks are asleep :)
