It has been reported that Anthony Hopkins has decided against appearing in a prequel to Silence of the Lambs. Apparently Hopkins told close friends: "I think we've gone to the line with Hannibal, with the jokes and the gore. I think people would think we were being greedy if we went on any further."

The Australian film industry is preparing for a greater influx of U.S. TV and film productions, as the possibility of a Hollywood writers' and actors' strike looms nearer. Nick Herd, executive director of the Screen Producers Association of Australia, commented that "American productions are realizing they don't have to shoot in California, they can go around the world." He also observed the Aussie dollar dropped 15% against the US dollar last year, creating another lure for Hollywood producers.

Die-hard Indiana Jones fans will be pleased to hear an Indiana Jones IV is in the works. It currently has a few big names involved with it, including George Lucas, Steven Speilberg, and Harrison Ford. It has been reported that the 6th Sense writer/director, M. Night Shyamalan, has been approached to write the screenplay for the film. The film is being produced by Lucasfilm Ltd., and special effects will be done by Industrial Light and Magic.

Apparently the boyfriend of Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz gave up sex for two months while dating her. Jared Leto prepared for his role as a heroin addict in a recent movie titled Requiem for a Dream by losing weight, starving himself, and denying himself the pleasure of Diaz's bed for two months. He admits playing the part was the hardest thing he's ever done.

I was over Hopkins before I even saw Silence of the Lambs (like, 12 months ago, thought it was pretty tame).

After Unbreakable, I'm a bit skeptical of M. Night Shyamalan ninjaness - I didn't really think 6th Sense was that awesome either - but I thought Unbreakable was pretty woeful. I was getting mildly excited about the whole thing, but it turned out fairly disappointing, even with Bruce the legend.

The sixth sense so boring that I fell asleep watching it.

Anyway Isn't Harrison Ford kinda getting a bit old to be playing indianna jones or is this the indianna jones come out of retirement and train new apprentice movie.

I think Hollywood is running out of new movie concepts so they have to keep reliving the glory days by making sequels and prequels get over it already
