not really busted, just never thought about it. Honestly I didn't even know I'd linked it to there. I was wondering where that pic went. lol. ok it'll work now if anyone looks at it. But there's nothing there and never will be. All the content is in subdirectories that u can only get at if u know the complete URL. My hosts file turns all advertising servers into 127.0.0.1 and if a site with ads comes up, I get to see my lovely logo/sig. (hence it's only meant to be seen by me for now) |

...one of our other new Cable plans such as the 300MB... 300MB?!?! They have got to be kidding... 300MB on a cable? Heck! It's pathetic considering that even with dial-up, that 300MB would be easilly be used up! And even more so for cable... |

Here check out my Gaystra plan changes (I'm currently on the Gaystra Bigpoof 150 hour plan with unlimited d/l and 5 hour hard limit): ------------------------------------------------------- Dear Telstra BigPond Member, Telstra has reviewed its Internet access plans and is making some changes to simplify the choice for customers and offer what we believe are even more competitive plans for light users. Our existing thirteen dial-up plans will be reduced to four, commencing 1 March 2002. The new plans will consist of two plans for light users and two plans with unlimited time and generous megabyte allowances to suit heavier users of online services. All plans will also have long continuous use session times and idle time outs. As a part of these changes, your hourly based Telstra BigPond Big 150 Plan - at $37.50 per month, will be replaced with the Telstra BigPond Internet Mega Plan, a volume based plan which offers unlimited hours up to a massive 450MB download for a $38.95*** per month. Alternatively, you have the option of paying just $34.95* per month if you select the 12 month contract plan. The features of the Internet Mega Plan: - Dial-up access from a fixed telephone line at the cost of a local call from anywhere in Australia - Unlimited hours including up to a huge 450MB download limit*** - Up to 10 hours per session, and you can even leave it idle for up to 1 hour before your session times out - Free 10MB of Webspace and domain hosting - 7 email boxes (additional mailboxes are available at just $1 each per month up to a maximum of 15 mailboxes in total) - Free WebMail so you can check your Telstra BigPond mail from virtually any Internet connection, anywhere in the world~ - Telstra's premium quality network - 24-hour/7-day technical support at no additional charge - Telstra BigPond Newsgroups - The option of enjoying the convenience of a Telstra Single Bill - Rewards: 5 to 10%** off your Telstra BigPond Home Internet Access and eligible calls when you combine two or more eligible Telstra service types on a Single Bill - The option to get an even better monthly rate for a full 12 months What to do now. You don't have to do anything because, from your first monthly anniversary date after 1 March 2002, your account will automatically be transferred to this plan - $38.90 per month - which offers many of the great features that you currently enjoy and more. Your monthly anniversary date is generally the date you connected to a Telstra BigPond Home account. If your anniversary date is the 12th of the month, your new plan will be billed from March 12 2002. No cancellation fees apply with this plan. Alternatively, you have the option of paying $34.95* a month by entering into a 12 month contract for the service. Click on the link be low and go to 'Plan Changes' then change your plan to the Internet Mega 12 month plan. Please note if you decide to cancel your account in the contract period, a cancellation fee may apply. We believe this plan structure remains very competitive and you retain the peace of mind of dealing with the Internet Service Provider chosen by more Australians. This is the first set of major changes to dial-up plans since the dial-up service was introduced back in 1996. Of course, whether you opt for a 12 month contract or not, you can still enjoy the above great benefits. Based on your current plan, we think Internet Mega may be the best plan for you, but if you would like to be sure, our Solution Finder may make it simple to check what plan may be best for you. Like to know more? If you'd like to know more about the new Telstra BigPond Internet access plans, change your plan and to view all the terms and conditions of these plans, please visit http://www.bigpond.com/home/newplans We hope you continue to enjoy your Telstra BigPond service. Yours Sincerely The Telstra BigPond Team Telstra is committed to the protection of your personal information. Telstra's business is governed by the Telecommunications Act of 1997, Industry Codes of Practice and Telstra's own policies and procedures. This includes Telstra's Privacy Protection Principles which have been designed to ensure that personal information is protected. For more information on our privacy policy please visit http://www.telstra.com/res/docs/Privacy.asp Whilst we recognise and support best practice in communicating with customers via email, we reserve the right not to offer an opt-out for messages of a legal or mandatory nature such as this. * Minimum charge for 12 continuous months connection on Telstra BigPond Internet Mega Plan is $419.40. Early cancellation charge applies. ** 10% discount available to most customers directly billed by Telstra for Access and Local calls and preselected to Telstra for Long Distance and Fixed to Mobile calls with only their eligible fixed line, Telstra mobile and Telstra BigPond Home services on the one Single Bill. To attract 5% discount customers must have their eligible fixed line and either their Telstra mobile or Telstra BigPond Home services on the one Single Bill. Limits apply on the maximum number of services that can be included. Discount not available on HomeLine Plus or BusinessLine Plus fixed line calls or with Telstra Relationships Option discounts. Excludes some calls and services. Call 132200 for full details. ***20c per additional MB download over 450MB applies. Unused MBs cannot be rolled over into subsequent months. ~Standard charges associated with accessing the Internet apply. ------------------------------------------------------- I d/led about 1.4 gigabytes last month on this plan so naturally I laffed at the new mega plans "Massive 450mb". So not only are they ar$e rimming the cable and asdl customers they've started to sodomise the Dial-up users as well ..GREAT! So do you guys know of any other good ISP's offering unlimited dial-up d/l at a reasonable price? Meh Slaps Ziggy and Jonnie Howard! |

I'm going back to OZemail dialup and I'm changing the home phone over the Optus while I'm at it. Ozemail never responded to any of my support enquiries but in over two years I only ever tried to use their support twice anyway. |
