Rockstars, being stars of the rock, are pumping out awesome games like the next blizzard... of 3rd personalities

This game seems to be no exception, and being released on the 17th o' May my excitement is mounting...jokehere.

In this video the game is described in a not too annoying advertising kind of way exposing what I won't be bothered putting into words.

I'll probably get this later seeing as im on a budget.

^ Yeah, +1. If you like mystery or crime drama there's only so many CSI / Law&Order hunt for the hidden pixel games you can play before going crazy.

I don't have a console anymore so won't be getting this game. Not that I have any clue what type of game it even is.

I will be. Haven't watched anything about it for ages because I know I will be buying it and I don't want to spoil anything.

Is it just me or do a lot of the characters bear striking resemblances to real life hollywood actors?

GTA IV meets Mafia are my impressions, if I wasn't so busy with Uni I'd pick it up it looks fantastic another Rockstar hit.

I hope he isn't, cause they modelled the faces/expressions from real actors. and a fair few of them are on Mad Men, CSI:Miami, Bones, Supernatural, CSI:NY, one even made an appearance in the West wing as Leo's intern.

They aren't modelled, they're scanned.

Big props for following my advice.

You should have this promoted and achieved.

Game news is game news, good post of game news still should count ;)

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of sandbox games like GTA, so I usually wait to see how the reviews play out.

Also I keep hearing all sorts of conflicting opinions about this game so I don't really know what to think. Midda worked on it and says its great, but then I know other people who worked on it and have nothing but bad things to say, but I dunno if their opinions are biased by their bad experiences working for Team Bondi. It was also in development for a looooooooooooong time so that makes me a little hesitant.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of sandbox games like GTA either, which I think is why I was surprised by L.A. Noire. About the biggest thing it has in common with GTA is driving around the city to get to your destination, and you're not even forced to do that all the time if you don't want to.

But yeah, it's definitely a unique kind of game, so it's understandable to be a bit skeptical. That's not to say you'll definitely like it either, you may find it boring, but as someone who gets bored very quickly with games like GTA, I was pleasantly surprised by L.A. Noire.

The setting does look pretty cool though, I do like that. I hope it has plenty of hard-boiled inner monologues and classy dames though.
