did a quick search and didn't find anyone announcing this so...
Woke up this morning and I had this little jigsaw thing on the bottom-right corner of the new tab page with some links saying that chrome now has extensions and bookmark sync. Check out the popular ones as there is a long awaited Ad block. |

If someone gets GreaseMonkey scripts going I'm interested. I had some success with a very basic one, but not one with a decent amount of complexity. |

I've been running the dev channel, so I've been playing around with extensions for about 6 months now. They're really good, it's nice not having to restart the browser after installing them.
And Pinky, Chrome has built-in support for Greasemonkey, pretty sure it's been there longer than extension support. If you go to Userscripts.org, for example, and click the Install button on a script, it'll ask if you want to install the script. They just show up in your extension list with any installed extensions you have. |

I tried that Midda but when I click install it just shows me the JavaScript of the script :-/ Clearly I'm doing it wrong. I will try a reinstall. I have 4.0.249.78 (36714) - what vers. yours? EDIT: NVM, I reinstalled and it works :-)) Time to experiment. EDIT EDIT: Hmm, one negative seems to be you can't easily toggle off GM like in Firefox by clicking the icon. I have some scripts that I toggle on and off depending on if I'm dev'ing or whatever. EDIT EDIT EDIT: BTW, my original post is still correct - any GM script with reasonable persistance complexity, saving and loading variables and so on, doesn't work still. I'll be back in 3 months to try again, hehe. |

I only like using chrome when I'm capped, I hate how the tabs are at the topmost part of the screen. I like my address bar above my tabs kthx google and sometimes when I'm changing tabs because they're at the top of the screen it activates my dock and I end up clicking some random application on my dock & opening it.

This is awesome! One less reason for people to bitch about chrome. Also pinky, why do you insist on pasting German quotes as if anyone could understand them? |

Yeah sorry I cut and paste it before I realise that it's in German. It's bloody annoying, point noted, my bad. That and teq's reason. |

So is there an equivalent (not just in purpose but how effective it is) to adblock plus and noscript? |

Going to try one of the extensions that opens PDF files in Google Docs. That is the one thing that frustrates me about Chrome, not being able to view PDF files all the time.
