looking for a 12-27 casette for training rides. whats the diff between 6500 and 6700?

The 6700 groupset saves about 150g on 6600, and then some more on 6500. 6700 is the current release (2010). In the 6700 range they dropped quite a few of the ranges previously available - 12-27 was one of them.

cheers raven, 150's a big saving. yeah, cant see the 12-27 in 6700. shame i cant get it in 6700.

That's in the groupset, not the cassette. There's barely 150g in a road cassette as it is.
