It's Monday again! Here's a few bits that came in while we were afk.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks: Nintendo have released another new vid for the next addition to their flagship RPG series, the portable DS-exclusive Spirit Tracks. The new trailer shows off more of Link's upcoming locomotive journey, and yeah... we're not really sure what's going on either but I'm guessing it involves saving the princess from Gannondorf.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is due for a December 2009 release in Australia.

  • Warhammer Online: In an effort to retain relevance, Mythic Entertainment have taken their 10 day free-trial a step further replacing it with a new unlimited free trial - offering players subscription-less access to Warhammer Online with the caveats of a level ten cap and only the Nordland and Norsca zones. Full details over on the official site.

The Warhammer Online trial client can be downloaded locally from AusGamers Files.

  • Shattered Horizon: Futuremark Games Studio have released another clip from their recently released spacewalking shooter, the first actual game from the studio well-known for their PC benchmarking software.

This new video offers a multiple-viewpoint demonstration of "Silent Running". While Silent Running, the "Audio simulation" and several other technology benifits of your suit are disabled, leaving you in the cold silence of space but also invisible to radar. Check it out right here on AusGamers.

Shattered Horizon is now available for purchase on Steam, but if you buy from directly from Futuremark the developers get more of your dollars.

Zelda gets shocked, turns into sleeping beauty except her ghost now can help link. She's pretty much navi who can possess monsters and help Link out. The bad guy seems to be an evil train with evil crew. No Ganon. If it's got the same charm as Phantom Hourglass then it's going to be at least decent.

Also she is scared of mice even though she's a hulking mass of armor.

I've been cranking shattered horizons the last few nights - it's good, but apart from the setting, there's nothing overly new or innovative here

I have played every single Zelda game (and finished all but two) so there is no way I will be missing this game

The zelda games are like all nintendo games, absolutely nothing innovative about the story, but the gameplay always rocks and are fun games from start to finish.

Each Zelda game is a blatant rip of of a collection of the previous ones. There hasn't been anything 'new' about them for a very long time.

That's because they're not really story-focused, the story is just an excuse for the action.

By action you mean puzzle.

Kathleen have you really played all 14 Zelda games? Which ones haven't you finished.

Yes, I have played them all. I haven't finished II because I gave up playing that piece of crap. And I haven't finished the first one. Although I have it on wii console and am slowly working my way through it.

That's an awesome effect. I've been meaning to get my hands on the hand held ones, especially links awakening. I wish Four swords was normal multiplayer, would have been a lot of fun.

The first one is crazy, I remember playing it with a walkthrough. Some dungeons require you to have X items, and they're hidden in Y play that can only be accessed by Z item. I remember the biggest bulls*** was to get one dungeon I needed to play the flute at a specific square along the shore. No hints, you were meant to guess.

Anyone got any prices on release?

I have looked at ebay and play asia, but both rely on me waiting for it to be posted and I won't be waiting.

I am hoping bigW and the like will be cheaper than EB and gametraders, but anyone know any prices?
