Alright, so we all know the MSY website is a complete abortion and unless you have preknowledge of the PDF price-list in there you're likely to puke, get lost in the site and/or not shop there.

What other websites cause you rage?

For me it's the Pizza Capers site. Try browsing both the menu and the store locations on an empty stomach without swearing:

Holy hell, I went on that site on Friday to suss out what pizza to get after work... I nearly exploded from the lameness of the "fake" menu where you have to manually turn the pages.

WTF? Are people getting paid money to put together these pieces of s***.

Gimme 1 single page, text, with all the items avaliable with their prices... not hard tards.

MSY's PDF parts list is bloody awesome.

Sure it's a crappy looking website, but all you ever need is that 1 single PDF... I find it great.

gamearena is horrible to navigate, it just is.

that new pizza capers website is horrible, their old one was brilliant, it was just what you wanted, linked to a pdf price list of all their pizzas & associated, that new one is a travesty.

the msy site is easier to navigate now than pizzacapers.

Haha yeah I made a thread about the Pizza Capers website a few weeks ago ;P It's changed since then, but it's still basically the same idea.

Everytime someone's mentioned MSY on here and I go to the site, I wind up leaving and never pursuing interest in the business or their products. If they can't comprehend that their site is s***, and that they shouldn't be putting that nonsense up there, then I can imagine dealing with their sales and customer service would be an absolute nightmare.

Someone should buy an MSY franchise and promptly sue MSY for having a s*** site.

Also anyone that thinks PDF is a suitable file format for anything needs to get off the Internet. It's a format owned by one company, and it crashes my firefox.

How would I know that? I've been to their site so many times - I haven't seen the price of anything.
Infact I don't even know what they sell.

Firstly, it became an ISO standard last year.

Secondly, as if allow your browser to open up the PDF internally. External launch ftw:

dude is that the reason why you still use Adobe PDF reader?

I went to a 3rd party reader/editor on the advice of a mate... though you're in the biz of knowing virii and the fun stuff that comes with it all on a network

Finding info on that site is like trying to dig a hole in a bucket of water. Futile and it will drive you to insanity.

And if you do ever find what you are looking for, then their system sets a flag on it so that you will never, ever be able to find it again no matter how hard you try.

It also takes you around and around in circles via its related links bar until you are so dizzy, you projectile vomit onto your cat and pass out.

Foxit is the most popular: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/

Anyway I found the last good version of Acrobat Reader was v7.0. Starts up very quickly, not bloated, etc. Almost like using an alternative reader! Luckily they still have that available, although majorly hidden:

Not really that unfriendly but I wish the parts list categories on CA were in alphabetical order. Apparently they're in "most useful order" or some bulls***, who are they to tell me what is most useful to me? Just f***ing order them alphabetically.

Top on my list has to be the useless photo continental website, every time I check it it's changed and half the content is missing because their IT section are idiots.

Translink isn't that bad. Just use the quick planner on the right hand side of the homepage to bring up the time tables. Other than topping up your go card you really don't need to use much else on the site?

why do you say that? (genuinely interested - unless its just because of the colours, which I don't think I'd term a usability issue)

I find Flash websites that have stupid animations to be the biggest issue for me - anything that drives the page response time from when I click to when I get what I'm after. Some regular sites have that - the old qantas site was a bit like that, I found it suffered a lot from slow page times - which, for me, is almost as much of a usability issue as a bad interface. The new version though seems to be a lot more responsive, though not sure if that's just because I've been using it more and paying more attention and remembering more of my sessions other than the really slow ones.

There's not a lot of sites I go to regularly that have s*** usability though, basically because I just stopped going to the ones that sucked :) 95% of my web time now goes to Google Reader anyway so I don't have to wade through billions of s*** sites to get the content I want.

I thought he was joking, but having a look there I would have to say straight away the colors make it a little bit unfriendly

its hard to distinguish between the different forums & their descriptions
like where most forums (this one included) clearly color each cell a different color to differentiate a post from the posts above & below it

Apart from the colours which I won't mention, the way it is set out makes me have to scroll left and right on my mobile phone compared to just scrolling up and down to read threads on QGL.

Not sure if its the same for everyone but links & text in posts are virtually indistinguishable on my screen. I've got to just hover over every word to see if its a link on ausgamers where as qgl has links a different colour AND underlined. Whose bright idea was it to make links not underlined on ausgamers? p.s. I'm not using my hax greasemonkey scripts anymore because I formatted & lost them :(

Speaking of functional, BigPonds websites... all of them. I think the only page that ever works for me is, ironically, their usage meter page. All the others time out, have dead links or end up in an endless loop where it tells you to click here to create blah blah, you click it and it takes you to a page asking you to sign up to big pond (which I already am) or you click login and nothing happens it just takes you back to the main page and asks you to log in.

Try logging into that s*** if you already have an account and an average length password (>8 characters, I call it average because that is just mine)... They recently restricted the maxlength of the password field to 8 characters, so now I can't actually log in ffs.

Then when you go to try and create a new account because they just f***ed you around, they f*** you around some more, when you try and click to "accept" the terms/agreement, the accept label is f***ing set to the decline radio button ARGH. Not a big thing, but still s***s me.

I've tried IE, opera and firefox, I still can't log into the bigblog site & create my webspace thing. Since they deleted their webspace hosting and make you now sign up for their s***ty blog service (also free) and use that for hosting stuff.

I gave up in the end & now just use photobucket for hosting images, internet gods help me if I need to host a video file and cbf making it youtube compliant (if I just want one or two people to have access to it).

I went to MSY in Slacks Creek today, No line what so ever!
Picked up an Antec 900, earthwatts 500 and Pioneer blueray drive. Exciting!

I'm building my new pc using old parts from a work server.
Amd 3800+ dualcore (my first dualcore cpu!!)
Asus a8n-e (my first pci-x mobo!!)
only 2.5g ddr heh

I was about to splash out on an i7 920 system but thought I'd set this up as my new server and wait longer for a new system. Don't laugh at my system :P
