I'm a bit cheap at the moment and don't have money to buy games. Stupid business based fluctuating income and f***ing big tax bill har har.

Anyway. I'm trying not to be a dirty pirate, so I figured I might amuse myself with some game demos..

Criteria:

Not s***. If I download it and its s*** I will bash you at QGL, k?

Not 30GB for 5 mins demo content.

MMOs with free trial OK, but needs mirror and f*** off AO, WoW and EQ. We've been there before.

Widely mirrored (so I can probably get it from internode and not bash my quotas).

Ideas? AOC worth it?

You could try the Eve Online trial, it goes for 3 weeks, and it's available on Steam, so you should be able to get it from Internode. It's a very niche game, but it's free for you to try, so you could always give it a go.

Check out the "Trine" demo on Steam... It's a fun little platform game. The demo runs for about 30 minutes or so.

trine looks cool.

Can I suggest an indie game?

It's fairly short, great fun though.

Urban terror, alien arena, theres a bunch of free quake engined games since it went open source.
