Hey guys,

Picking up a ps3 2nd hand and want a list of games to consider buying off him too.

I'm thinking:

GTA4
GT5 prologue
Time Crisis 4 with gun
COD4
Perhaps one of the final fantasy titles (if there is one for ps3? - Anyone know and know if they're any good?)

What do you guys think?

titles, COD4 is awesome fun, so is GTA4.

Depends what sort of games you like, games I've really enjoyed playing on PS3 include stuff like Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Infamous. I didn't really like Killzone 2, but thats mostly cos I'm just not a huge fan of FPS on consoles, but if you don't mind that, then you can check out Killzone 2 and the Resistance games as well.

i have gran turismo 5 pro, and its pretty good but just a tease! only buy it if its $20 or less... great graphics but not enough to do .god i wish they would just hurry up and release this f***ing game its turning into duke nukem forever

GTAIV is good, it has some great extra episodes as DLC.
Also, if you like the look of Halo3 you should check out Halo Wars, its a pretty good RTS for consoles based on Halo franchise.

If you ever played the original banjo kazooie, there is a sequel out called * Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts which is quite fun.

Whats the USB ports mainly for? They're not for controllers are they? Why would you want more than 2 (60gb model has 4 and sells for a lot more)? Would a USB hub work on a ps3?


edit: looks like usb hubs work... so why the big price jump? Surely not for backwards compatability? It has no emotion engine and looks s***? You dont buy a ps3 to play ps2 games on... and further more for the price difference you could buy several ps2s???

time crisis 4 aint bad I've had it for a while. Don't get it unless you liked the previous versions.

Want to buy my copy? Good condition - Game + gun + boxes/manuals. PM if you are interested.

Also uncharted is one of the best console games (lolol consoles) I have played get it.

i got uncharted when i got my tv and ps3 the other day. havent had a chance to play it yet

I love Killzone 2, really fun. Great visuals too. Recommended if you like first person shooters.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a must as well, it's a fantastic game. It's platinum now too, so you can pick it up for cheap.

If you've enjoyed the previous ones, Metal Gear Solid 4 is good too. Plenty of content in that one, so it'll keep you occupied for a while.

If you like platformers, go grab Ratchet and Clank: Future Tools of Destruction. It's another platinum title now, so it's less than $50. One of the best platformers I've played in years.
