There's some code in the template that she's using that'll have to be changed somewhere, I could probably do it if I could be bothered, but eh.

I know what you mean but I don't know how to do it - my WP site doesn't even have the next/prev s***. Maybe it's a plugin?

It's not a plugin, it's just a simple query in the template code - I messed about with it in my old site.

If she made the template herself, it should be easy enough to change.

I get what you're trying to do now - ignore the final post on the page I linked to cos it wouldn't work. The previous_post_link WP function will only work on the permalink (single) pages not other pages that are designed to display more than one post, even if you're using a one post per page theme.

I'm not too familiar with WP but the original site I linked to says there isn't an easy way to do what you're trying to do within the wordpress framework. There would probably be a way, but you'd have to hack up some php to retrieve the previous post name manually.

You could try adding that code to the permalink page template instead. It wouldn't be the same because it won't affect the home page, but if someone opens one of the permalink pages they'll be able to navigate via the next/previous post page title.

Yep, it works because the page you linked to is a permalink page (single mode). I already suggested putting the code into the permalink page template.

However if you go to the home page http://www.firstpersonshouter.com/ it still has the 'Older Entries >>' and '<< Newer Entries' link text. That's what doesn't appear to be supported.

In regards to your problem through... not 100% if it can be done. See that function means to go to the next (or prev) page of posts... not the next single post.

A simple suggestion might be that down the bottom of the page... you could maybe add a few links to the previous articles . Meaning... you might list 5 full recipes and then... just above the "prev entries" button you could have just the titles of another 5.

Does that make sense... just a suggestion though
