Mazda already has the 5-stroke engines.

Which sounds similar to this, at least from what I could understand of it. They've had them for like 15+ years.

EDIT: f*** no idea where i got the name from, its called miller cycle.

Yeah it does sound good i.e the increased compression, effiency. But you wonder how much more complicated it is compared to a standard petrol or turbo diesel engine.

Mazda had the Miller Cycle engine in one of it's Eunos branded cars back in the the 1990's. The Eunos 800.
