Last week saw a stack of different news bits land across the virtual desk of AusGamers (we do have physical desks too though). In the build up to E3 it's looking like some publishers are holding their tongues, while others would rather utilise the time just prior to the event to start the hyperbole rolling on their new products.

Meanwhile, in the world of editorial, it's business as usual with a steady roll out of games hitting store shelves, both casual and hardcore alike, while finally, for the most part console DLC took a backseat in the videogame realm for a change and let two of PC's biggest release key updates of their own.

In the headlines we heard more from that Duke/3D Realms/Take-Two fiasco, EA gave details for Spore's coming of Nintendo age, the inevitable Guitar Hero 5 reared its head while the very quiet Tony Hawk told us all to get ready to RIDE. Not to be forgotten in the MMO world, Age of Conan proved it hasn't flatlined yet by celebrating its first birthday, Activision and Bizarre Creations gave us a Blur of info, City of Heroes touted its user-generated content 1up, Nintendo disclosed Wii MotionPlus plans for Australia, a Star Ocean Special Edition was revealed for Australian retail and to much chagrin, Anthony Mundine now shares the Fight Night Round 4 box with the legendary Ali. Finally, Fallout's much loved series of DLC will see the light of PS3 day while two new episodes were also announced, despite an RC in Australia NecrovisioN appeared on Steam to buy, is Monkey Island coming to Xbox Live Arcade?, Team Ico finally showed off their new project for PS3 and, of course, Valve released their hotly anticipated Sniper Update for Team Fortress 2 and also snuck in a full update for the Spy as well as giving everyone a free trial run through the game all weekend over Steam.

Videos we highly recommend:Finally, in the editorial wing we had a pretty good week with an extensive look at three games (one of which we can't post about *just* yet, but stay tuned because it's awesome) as well as a few reviews. That's it for last week's news wrap-up, but don't go anywhere, because we're one week away from the biggest event in gaming, and AusGamers will be working tirelessly from the show floor of this year's return-to-form E3 to give you all the best possible coverage we can, so stay tuned!

Hmm the videos arent viewable on my stupid Jobsian non-Flash device.

Given trog's avowed desire for Flash to die, will we see more compatible vids in future?

hmm, I thought you had the AusGamers app installed - it has all the videos encoded for iPhone format available in there

The news article on the iphone app is a copy/paste of Steve post above. Its therefore just linking to the same vids. The iphone app prolly needs its own edit of the news so the links point to the right place.!?

Maybe I'm doing it wrong!

The News feed in the AG app links to the normal website's videos which has a Flash player.

When I click on the "Videos" option in the AG app I only get like 10-20 videos shown. The one I was looking for (stunning Uncharted 2 extended gameplay trailer) isn't on the list, and there isn't an option I can see to search?
