Because Nintendo's Wii and DS platforms are essentially licenses to print money, it makes sense EA would want their key mainstream title (beyond The Sims), Spore, finding its way into the lives of casual gamers everywhere through both of The Big N's consoles.

Today they revealed gameplay details for Spore Hero (Wii) and Spore Hero Arena (DS), which sees the Wii title offering up a story-driven experience with many of the Spore creature creation tools of the PC version, while the DS offering delivers an arena combat based title (likely a lot like Pokemon) where your created creatures battle it out head-to-head.
