Pokemon lovers should mark their calendars for May 14 as Nintendo have just given us that release date for their latest Pokemon update, this time in the Platinum colour spectrum.

This new game in the storied franchise brings a host of new features, including the mysterious new Distortion World, never-seen-before forms of powerful Pokémon, and exciting online games in the new Wi-Fi Plaza.

The human eye can actually perceive something in the vicinity of 10 million colours, so it looks like Pokemon has some serious longevity.
