I thought this might be worth bringing to the attention to some of you outdoorsy-type Canadians. If anyone would like any help writing any proposal or support documents, I'm happy to help chip in.

Brisbane City Council is investigating the best ways to manage outdoor recreation in our city's natural bushland areas.

As a part of this review, Council would like to explore the possibility of opening up trails in some Council managed bushland areas for mountain bike access. At present, mountain bike riding in Council managed bushland is only permitted on designated trails within Mt Coot-tha Forest.
