Just thought I would check with you victorians, some relatives of mine were having dramas, so I remote'd in to have a look, and after a frustratingly slow experience, determined their cable is returning about 3000/80 kbps according to speedtest.net

While I know this ain't a real accurate gauge something is wrong here

Anyone else having dramas ?

What speed do they get downloading from http://files.bigpond.com

DNS issues? If the speeds are fast and the browsing experience is slow...well?

Nah aint DNS, and latency is like 200ms

could it be the fact the weather is completly f***ed down there and large part of the cable network was infact down 2day ago, and obviously continued issues with 240v mains power and overheating/equip failure?

Something happened with my bigpond last night too.. Was playing TF2 and before i went into it i was at 80% then my usage went all the way up to 100% by the time i was finished playing.

Was playing on gamearena too wtf.
