Was part of the first beta and it was pretty fun, hoping for lots of changed this time around. Good for a bit of freeware time wasting anyway.

I just got sent my beta key for battlefield heroes. ANyone else playing it?

Installing it now.

A note for those on windows 7 (win7) there's a problem installing it. The installer requires more permissions than internet explorer is given under windows 7, so i had to grant full control of the C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\BattleField Heroes\ folder for IE based installer to work. By default it seems to only have read/execute on the folder.

Just played it a bit, overall impression is that it's not that great. I wasn't expecting it to be, but from what I've played so far, it's just as well that it's free, otherwise it'd be a total flop.

i also got a key today. doubt i will get a chance to play it for another few weeks.

it'd be awesome if I could cache it at work and take it home..


but I carnt so I'll look forward to the next lan to check it out.


I'll give just enough time until the next easily available fps comes along.

Big update today, mass character delete too so everyone starts from scratch. If you've tried it and stopped playing it might be worth coming back for a look.

BTW Koopz its < 300meg total... stop whining and just download it.
