Looking to spend around $300 max for a new video card - what should I buy?
I saw a Gigabyte 1gb 9800gtx for $300-odd at MSY - sound good? Or is there better out there? Ta |

4850 512, only get the 1GB if you have a 1920*1200 or < display and like lots of AA/AF
Check out the Asus EAH4850 512M for $265, the 4850's run very hot and this has a custom cooler on it. last edited by Lynx at 09:03:03 18/Jan/09 |

You can fix the heat problem by going into ati settings and turning on overdrive, then adjust the fan speed to 50-60%. Makes it a bit louder but drops the temp alot.
