Saw on morning show this morning that spiderman 4 movie will have morpheus as the bad guy. And aaron eckhart said two face could return in next batman movie, saying something about being in a coma then waking up..

I wouldn't be saying Tim Burton ftw. Go and watch his original Batman and come back and say that. It's f***ing terrible. Maybe back when it was made it was good but now it's total crap. I tried watching it about a month ago and ended up turning it off. Picture quality is ass, there's hardly any action and the fashion/hairstyles are ridiculous.

spidey 4 - the lizard IMO. you got the character, run with it. That or carnage and ffs don't use 2 villians. 1 will be neglected like in the last movie.

batman - i'd like to see a riddler character that starts off as someone brought in by the police to find out who batman is, but gets too obsessive in trying to find out and is in turn s*** canned by the cops cuz of it. Like he starts causing crime to lure batman out or something along those lines.

i doubt raimi will do carnage. we were lucky to get the half assed version of venom.

Trolling or not, whatever reputation you may have once had is now lying crushed and broken at the bottom of a well filled with the tears of orphaned children.

For the time, the Tim Burton batman movies were awesome because all we had to compare them to was the 60's tv series and movie. That's not so true now so Nolan films > all others

I reckon a sadistic, twisted riddler that is kinda like Sylar from Heroes, some f***ed up obessive type of guy who sees everything as a question, and wants to know the why of everything, wants to know how things work, and is driven by the burning desire to know the answer to the biggest question of all "Who is the Batman?"

And the version of the Penguin that they use in the comics these days could work, the gun running, black market dealing, "finger in every pie" type of racketeer, but with a front as a respectable business man running a nightclub. And no goons with umbrella guns.

Burton is currently directing Alice in Wonderland, which in theory sounds great, but I looked at the cast list and I dunno, it's not looking promising. Johnny Depp as the Hatter and Anne Hathaway as White, but that's about it.

There was nothing wrong with TDK, burton films were just so cheesey and just so hollywood, so style to it. Current batman movies have character, warmth and is stimulating, visually and mentally.

Ok, maybe their not 's***' but for the level of potential they had, I dont think they were done very well. And the female leads have both been the worst possible casting choices IMO. Storylines were rather shallow (esp in the last one), and there hasnt been a successful level of characted development in the sense that the audience doesnt get invested in whats happening. Killed the love of his life? Who cares? Felt nothing.

Also Im not saying they are 'inferior' to the Tim Burton movies, as someone else said earlier in the thread - its just subjective, and they were done COMPLETELY differently. Lets just say if given the choice, Im going to take penguin minions with rockets strapped to their backs and Michelle Pfeiffer in black latex over Maggie Gyllenhaal and a shallow plot line.

well thats why i didn't really like the idea, it kinda did seem tied up with the nod he got after bruce wayne saves him which was like 'you owe me' ... but then again how far does he want to go exposing him etc etc questions are never ending
