Hello

Does anyone own 1 of these? If so what are your impressions on it? Where did you buy it from?

Cheers.

Looks like it might be fun to toy with for 5 minutes, then I wouldn't use it. Just like my Wacom tablet....

That's the thing about it, it isn't a 5 min toy. You need lots of time on it to get it useful.

Imagine just being able to look at an enemy on the screen and fire at them. How cheaty is that s***?

After a brief stint of being used in photoshop and then 5 minutes running around using it to control my dude in counter-strike my tablet sits unused somewhere around here too. I keep meaning to get it out again coz using a mouse in PS is s***ting me to tears but I don't even know where I left it :(

We sell em an CA. koopz bought one. Keep meaning to ask him about how it;s travelling. I believe his official response was:
"f*** it takes some getting used to..."

f*** it takes some getting used to...

I've ditched the idea of using it as a keyboard/mouse replacement for fps. it's more a WoW and RTS tool.

don't get one if you're a heavy smoker/coffee drinker. it won't work

nah sorry dude.

I'm pretty sure Computer Alliance would still have one or two.. else take a squiz @ eBay.

re: the grounding problem, I have it positioned just next to my arm. no earthing issue there.

I was serious about the smoking/coffee thing though dude. I've had to learn to relax to use this thing. No drugs/alkyhols.

WUUUUUUUSHHHHHAAAA

How long have you been using it?

since October?? I had holidays when I got it. It took me about two weeks to get good at using it.. but I'm old and impatient. It'd take a kid about a week to master everything.

I haven't tried it on the kids yet. They'd prolly break it

From what I remember reading about it, it's totally dumb. It'll never replace a hand held device.

From their website...

Rather than being a substitute for a mouse, the nia is a pioneering new peripheral to be used in conjunction with your mouse for a more immersive gaming experience
