I just nabbed this documentarythe other day and found it quite interesting. Considering what a bunch of sopping f*****s you all are, I thought some of you might enjoy it too.

The film is about how scripture regards homosexuality, how people interpret it and how it affects people. The film follows the stories of numerous christian families who have gay family members. You usually get to hear the tale from multiple sides, with the homosexuals in question, their parents, partners, and friends all giving some input. Some of the stories are sometimes happy, sometimes inspirational, sometimes sad and always moving.

The film is a gripping insight into the plight of one of the most persecuted groups of people on the planet and their experiences in a country and religion full of ignorance, hatred and violence. The prejudice against homosexual people is quite possibly the greatest social injustice in our society, and this movie helps shed some light on the source of much of the prejudice, and just how wrong it truly is.

Regardless of your stance on the pooper, homosexual people are paying just as much tax as heterosexuals. They pay just as much to support the legal system as you or I do. Shouldn't the law repay the favour by treating them the same?

yeah, aborigines are massively over-represented in jails, have the worst literacy and health standards of any indigenous people in the world and an early 1900s equivalent life expectancy. but they can get married, so thats ok.

It can be quite a painful thing for gay ppl when families turn their backs on them because their Religion says they should.
I used to date a chick and her oldest sisters son was Gay.
His grandfather and the other kooks use to go to church twice every weekend.
The grandfather banned him from the home which caused a lot of arguments at family gatherings.
The guy now sells real estate and was a millionaire at 25.

Gays should become Atheist. Atheism lets you appreciate life without feeling guilty or threatened and you can have sex with all the adults you want.

But marriage is a religious idea and its worthless remember guys?

I used to be very anti-gay but now I am far more liberal these days. they don't hurt anyone else, they have real emotions and just want to live lives of fulfilment.

i think it is unfair to discriminate against them. i dont know if homosexuality is learned or genetic but either way it is a free country.

it's not like they are terrorists holding up airports.

This cartoon is a segment from the documentary. This is the only part that's there for a laugh, the rest is pretty serious.

You realise how counter-intuitive the idea of a gay gene is right? I mean genes are passed on through breeding, not something gay people are well know for doing.

I blame gay people for reality TV, not necessarily for it's inception but certainly for it's continued existence. I'm worried that if we allowed gay people to marry it would only increase the amount of reality TV.

natural selection is a bit more complicated than that, you can't predict outcomes. what might seem to be an unfit trait might not be when combined with the thousands of others that were also inherited. that and other social or environmental factors.

Aahahahaha that video was a great laugh. However I don't think that being gay or having a sexuality other than straight, can or should be proved by science. They'll just try and create a vaccine for it, put a Z or X in the name and then sell it for $300. Why does it matter who bones who and how, as long as they are happy

Arguing that homosexuality is learned behaviour is right up there with Intelligent Design as a credible explanation for the universe. Unsurprisingly there tends to be a big group of people who believe both are true.

There was a study done a while back in identical twins if one twin is gay then there is a 50% chance that the other will also be gay. While not definitive rule for meaning homosexuality is genetic it is a massively high correlation and favours it being just as much a genetic trait over pure environmental. It's likely that homosexuality is a complex genetic trait with a large amount of environmental influence (which is basically everything else combined)

in agriculuture, alot of money is being done on research into the gay genee. there was an article on bbc.co.uk about research done into sheep, and the homos up in arms about iradicating the gay geene. its counter productive to have gay live stock for breading purposes.

Said study would need to have data on quite a large number (probably more then they had) to make any asumptions off said data.

The comment above about anal sex is stupid. Of course sexual BEHAVIOUR can be learned - there's a whole lot of variety outside of vaginal sex for both straights and gays, none of which are useful in terms of propagation of the species.

That has no bearing on whether sexual ORIENTATION is learned.
