G'day i remeber doing a windows rollback on my computer a while ago and in a bit of need for it again.
My mums windows account has corrupted and deleted all of her file/settings/history/passwords yet its left all the programs and what not, its really quite bezzar. The other account on the computer is completly untouched and everything is in order. The computer is running fine (quicker even). |

Sounds like a corrupted profile. And if it is then it will have blown it away.
If it was important there'd be backups, so I guess whatever it was wasn't important. |

If you mean "Windows Rollback" as in System Restore 1.First you'd need to have system restore enabled under: (just make to make sure) Start > Control > System > System Restore (tab) You will also need System Restore enabled as a service: Start > Run > Type: Services.MSC > (Scroll Down) and look for "System Restore Service" If its running and on Automatic everything will be ok If it is NOT running: Your profile information MAY be under: C:\Documents and Settings\ ---> Desktop (Will contain all your stuff saved on your desktop ---> Application Data : may contain emails said user has sent if you use outlook try using that.) There may ALSO be some stuff under the folder under: C:\Documents and Settings\ C:\Documents and Settings\ So unless you've run anything like a history cleaner (i.e: CCleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com/) the stuff may still be there. |
