ROFL. They just got wind of Batman? Batman was invented by Bob Kane in the late 30's based on drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci's bat wing contraption. I doubt many people who have worked on creating Batman films even knew there was a place called Batman.

My other question is, how can they even have a legal copyright on the name of their city? Did the makers of the film 'Sleepless in Seattle' have to pay royalties to the city council in Seattle?
