I'm considering bringing a PS3 back from the states with me in a couple of weeks. Anyone know if it will work on home soil? Games, Power supply, etc....

yup, it's even got a switching power supply, so just get a socket adaptor.

It will be fine power wise all you will need is either a plug adapter or a replacement power cord.

PS3 games are region free, so any from aus will run on it fine.

Blu-ray movies however are not, so it will only be able to play US or region free BD movies. That's the only real issue, aside from stuff like warranty replacement hassle.

tV's not a problem. my main concern was power.for the obvious reason of 120v in the U.S. as opposed to 240v. It's mainly for gaming anyway. cheers guys

From what I heard, It won't work well on a television that is not high definition.

with the TV it picks up if its PAL or NTSC ..its either that or you set it yourself in the display settings on the PS3

It wont be an NTSC signal anyway if you're running in 720p or 1080p (and theres no point buying a ps3 if you can't).
