stumbled across this cool site on my usual rounds where they have some awesome Carbon fiber stuff that I didn't even know could be made from CF. They have stair cases to taps, mouse pads to guitars and even a CF toilet.

I love the bell & ross watch.. to bad its $131k

On that note, my new carbon fiber Cookie skydiving helmet.

Ridiculously comfortable, ~300 grams, deluxe chincup, Rok model with ear vents for canopy flying and pockets for audible altimeters.

They're not for crash protection, those carbon fiber helmets split STRAIGHT down the center from hard impact.

They got uses though.

1. Audible altimeter in your ear, gives you warning tones/sirens at specific altitudes (usually breakoff then deployment and your "hard deck" which is where the final siren sounds). I love my audible... you can just fly and have fun for 60 seconds without checking your wrist for your altitude... you hear the first pulsating tone and you turn and track away, hear the 2nd and you deploy.

Never reached the 3rd though, apparently it basically busts your ear drum, mines set @ 2000ft, 10 seconds impact.

2. Camera's, Cookie composites specialize in cameras helmets.

Unfortunately you're not allowed to jump camera till 200 jumps, but I can add a camera onto that helmet later on.

3. Bump protection, either from exiting the plane and knocking your head or from freefall (someone kicks you in the head doing formation). Without a helmet you might go unconcious, a padded helmet might prevent this.

i thought this was gonna be another thing about an archer shooting his CF arrow through his hand and having it break off into a f***ton of pieces and still having bits of surgery years later to remove more pieces
